The Strayaways — STIMS Burnett Memorial Concert in Fairfield — Fall 2026

Articles

Two fiddles, guitar and bouzouki come together in Fairfield when The Strayaways headline STIMS’s autumn concert series. The evening honours Gregg and Clare Burnett and brings three distinctive voices in traditional Irish music to one stage.

The Strayaways bring Kevin Burke, Dylan Foley and Eamon O’Leary to STIMS’s Fall 2026 Concert/Workshop Series for the Annual Gregg and Clare Burnett Memorial Concert on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30 pm. Concert doors open at 7:00 pm.

Kevin Burke’s fiddle playing draws on the Sligo tradition and a career with The Bothy Band, Patrick Street, Open House and the Celtic Fiddle Festival. A National Heritage Fellowship recipient, he is known for his rhythmic drive and fluid ornamentation.

Four-time All-Ireland fiddle champion Dylan Foley brings the next generation’s energy to the two-fiddle partnership. Eamon O’Leary supplies guitar and bouzouki accompaniment, singing and songwriting, drawing on his solo work and The Murphy Beds.
