Jamestown Pipes and Drums (JPD) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization located in Jamestown, North Carolina. The band was formed in 1999 with the goal of educating the Triad community about Scottish heritage and the musical culture of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
The band is led by Pipe Major Eric Sparklin and Drum Sargent Robert Monroe.
Jamestown Pipes and Drums competes in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) competitions in the southeast. The band maintains a performance schedule in the piedmont area and provides educational opportunities to interested individuals.
Pipe and Drum Lessons
We accept players of all abilities and ages. We will happily provide instruction on the pipes/drums/etc. with the hope that you will return this gift of the Scottish Musical Arts to the community by participating in performances with the band.
