The Flint Scottish Pipe Band is one of the oldest pipe bands in the United States. Founded in 1916 by Scottish immigrants, it has remained based in Flint, Michigan and has been known at various times as the Clan MacKenzie Pipe Band, the Flint Kilty Band, and the Flint Scottish Pipes and Drums.
Currently under the direction of Pipe Major Graham MacMaster, the band competes at the Grade 5 level in various competitions in North America.
The band’s emblem is the Stag’s Head of the MacKenzie Seaforth Highlanders with its motto Cuidich ‘N Righ (Help the King), and wears the Mackenzie Seaforth tartan.
The Flint Scottish Pipe Band is a registered non-profit organization with an elected governing board.
