The band was proud to be the 2000 Grade IV Champion of Champions in the Western United States Pipe Band Association (3WUSPBA). 2001 was the year of the first ever Scotland trip, where the band took a third place in Inverkeithing, and did well at the Bridge of Allen, the World’s Championships in Glasgow, and in Perth.

While the band is based in Marin County, just north over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, the pipers, snare, tenor, and bass drummers, dancers and drum majors come from as far north as Woodland, south to San Jose, and east to San Ramon. Curently under the direction of Pipe Major Janice Richey and Drum Sargeant Robert Cameron, the band has been in existence since 1980. The band is comprised of adult pipers and drummers, most of whom devote their spare time to fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing the Great Highland Bagpipes and drums. Traditional Highland dress, including kilts of the Ancient Hunting Mackintosh tartan, is worn when the band performs.
