International Zampogna Festival in Scapoli 2027

The International Zampogna Festival brings musicians, instrument makers, researchers, and visitors to Scapoli for a celebration of the zampogna and related Italian bagpipe traditions.

The festival traditionally takes place on the last weekend of July. Based on that annual schedule, the expected 2027 dates are Saturday, July 31 through Sunday, August 1, 2027. The organizer has not yet published a complete 2027 program, so visitors should confirm the dates before making travel arrangements.

What to expect

Events take place at various locations throughout Scapoli and traditionally include concerts, workshops, exhibitions, street performances, parades or processions, traditional dress, and demonstrations by zampogna makers. Visitors can also learn more about the instrument and its regional history at Scapoli’s Museo della Zampogna.
