Michigan Celtic Festival returns July 9–10, 2027, at Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103.
The festival celebrates Celtic culture through music, pipe and drum bands, dance, heritage, performances, exhibitions and sporting activities. Check the official website for the 2027 programme, admission details and opening hours.
From Saline to Michigan Celtic
The festival’s roots lie in the 1966 sister-city relationship between Saline, Michigan, and Brecon, Wales. Visits, school projects and cultural exchanges helped sustain the connection.
In 1996, Saline created the Saline Celtic Festival to mark thirty years of that partnership. Community interest helped it grow into a celebration of music, dance, theatre, storytelling and sport, planned and delivered by volunteers without paid administrative staff.
Friends of the Festival incorporated in Michigan on April 26, 2011, assumed financial responsibility and received 501(c)(3) recognition in 2013. In January 2023, the festival formally separated from the City of Saline, with Friends of the Festival becoming its governing body.
The festival moved to Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in 2023 to gain space and infrastructure. In 2024, its name changed to Michigan Celtic, reflecting its wider reach.

The grounds are accessible from US-23 and I-94. On-site parking is free, with accessible permit parking available.
