Lerwick and Communities Across Shetland, Scotland
The 45th Shetland Folk Festival takes place Thursday, April 29–Sunday, May 2, 2027, with concerts in Lerwick and communities across Shetland, Scotland. The festival begins in April and continues into May.
Organised by a voluntary committee and supported by local volunteers, the festival brings together Scottish and international folk musicians, visiting artists and Shetland’s own performers.
Festival Club and Sunday Foys
The members’ Festival Club in Lerwick hosts daytime concerts, sessions and workshops. Check membership and ticket requirements before planning which events to attend.
The weekend closes with Sunday-night Foy concerts across three venues, with visiting acts moving between halls for short performances.
