Colmcille Pipe Band, a Grade 3a Pipe Band located in Derry, Northern Ireland

The Colmcille Pipe Band was formed back in 1978 and is still going strong 30 years on. The band was given it’s name by Bishop Daly.

The band started in the Hasson house in Ardnamoyle Park in the Shantallow area of the city.

The band is run on a very strong family base and has players from the North and South of Ireland playing in it’s ranks today. The band is known in the Pipe Band World as C.C.P.B. which is now under the direction of Pipe Major Mark Hasson, Drum Sargent Brian Hasson Jnr and Band Tutor Brian Hasson Snr.

Colmcille Pipe Band completes or takes part in; Band practice, Tuition, Public Performances, Festivals, St Patrick’s Day & Halloween Parades for DCSDC, Performances for hire, Concerts, Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland
