St Marys Pipe Band Derrytrasna is a pipe band that has won many titles, including All Ireland Champions and four consecutive first places in the UK Championships.
However, they did not be compete in the 2024 season and are instead focusing on rebuilding the band by bringing in new beginners.
Band’s Achievements
- UK Championships: Won four consecutive first places in the UK Championships in 4B, 4A, 3B, and 3A
- All Ireland Champions: Won the All Ireland Championship World Championships: Placed third a few times at the World Championships
- The band’s recent success was achieved by rising from Grade 4B to Grade 2, but the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to their progress.
