Welcome to Rhine Power! Rhine Power is a bagpipe band with more than 15 musicians based in and around the Rhineland, all of whom are passionately addicted to Scottish music. The band is split into a pipe corps of bagpipers and a drum corps of drummers, which together make up the enchanting character of Scottish pipe band music.
At the end of 2006, the then “Cologne Caledonian Pipe Band” and the “Mettmann and District Pipe Band” decided to join forces permanently after joint competition appearances. The connection got a new name and a new face as the “Rhine Power Pipe Band”. The pipers and drummers are mostly from all parts of the Rhineland - some even from the UK!
The Rhine Power Pipe Band has had great success in the competitive scene, as well as great performances and performance tours, for example to Scotland and South Korea.
Today, the Cologne carnival is also a big part of the band, in which they parade through the halls together with the orchestra of the cathedral town “every year in winter, when it snows”.
Introducing new members to us is often very individual and personal. We are also happy to use the excellent learning material from Andreas Hambsch ’s bagpipe school.elf long been accepted by their role models . Their music is thus also a link German - British friendship.
