Denis Law becomes the youngest footballer to play for Scotland when he makes his international debut at the age of 18 years and 7 months. The match, played against Wales in Cardiff on October 18, 1958, marks the beginning of a legendary international career.

Born in Aberdeen in 1940, Law would go on to earn 55 caps for Scotland and score 30 goals, becoming one of the nation’s greatest-ever players. Known for his agility, fearlessness, and goal-scoring instinct, he later became a star at Manchester United, and remains the only Scottish player to have won the Ballon d’Or (1964).
