St Marys District Band Club Pipes and Drums is a Grade 3 competition band based in St Marys in Western Sydney. The organization brings together beginners, developing musicians, and experienced competition players while preserving and promoting piping and drumming in the local community.
The band has more than 50 years of history and has won Australian national and state competitions. It is also among the Australian bands to have reached the Grade 1 final at the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland.
Outside competition, the band performs at community and private events, tattoos, and ceremonial occasions including Sydney’s Anzac Day March. Members wear the Royal Stewart tartan. The organization also provides piping and drumming tuition in a supportive band environment.
