I have 15 years experience playing the pipes, band and solo work including Ulster Scottish Pipe Band, Washington Memorial Pipe Band, Nittany Highland Pipe Band, Pipes & Drums of the Delaware Valley, and the Cairngorm Pipe Band. I am currently the Pipe Major of the Ceol Neamh Pipe Band in Lancaster, PA. Thompson started the Ceol Neamh Pipe Band in 1998 and served as Pipe Major through to 2003. Prior band experience includes Ulster Scottish Pipe Band (Grade III) of Philadelphia, several years as Pipe Sergeant of the Washington Memorial Pipe Band (Grade IV) of Wayne, PA, the Cairngorm Pipe Band of Mt. Penn, PA, the Pipes & Drums of the Delaware Valley, and the Nittany Highland Pipe Band of State College, PA. Thompson currently competes in Grade II Solo Piping competition.
