The Suffolk County Police Officer's Pipe Band was formed in 1970. The plaid that we wear is our own. It was designed by founding members and is called "Suffolk Check."

We are self-supported and our band consists of approximately 50 active and retired members of various police agencies such as the Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, Southampton Town Police and Northport Police. We can be seen at parades and other events throughout Long Island. We can be seen every year in New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
