Bagpiper Profile
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Pipe band - Bagpiper, England, United Kingdom
Website:
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Pipe band
West Yorkshire UK
The band was formed in the 1960's and its founding member wenton to become the chief of the WYFRS, in 2003 as with many organizations, a large group of players left leaving a core to build the band backup and this has been a slow but steady process,
The Band receives the full support of the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. Firefighters and non-uniformed personnel in the Fire Service are very welcome to join the Band – but equally, members who are nothing to do with the Fire Service are just as welcome to join.
The Band plays in “daywear” and wears kilts in the Ancient Red Ramsay tartan
