Graham Brown

Graham is 25 years old and was born in Milton, Ontario, Canada. He started drumming 15 years ago at the age of 9 in the Milton Optimist junior Pipe Band, where he was lead drummer. The band was very succesful, winning the World Juvenille Championships in 1994 and the World Championships in grade 3 in 1997. He began playing in grade 1 in 1998 with the Peel Regional Police Pipe Band. He played there for 2 seasons and then joined the 78th Fraser Highlanders in the fall of 1999. Here he spent 2 very enjoyable seasons before realizing his lifelong dream of playing with Jim Kilpatrick and Shotts and Dykehead. The first year with Shotts was 2002. Withe the band Graham has won 2 World Pipe Band Championships, 3 World Drum Corp Championships, 4 drum corp Champion of Champion titles, and accumulated a total of 15 Major Drumming Wins. In solo competitions Graham was the Champion Supreme winner at the Professional level in Ontario in 1998 and 1999, and the overall winner at the North American Championships in 2000, 2001, and 2003. He's also been a Semi-Finalsist at the World Solo Drumming Championships the past 3 years.

Teaching has also been a big part of Graham's drumming career. He began teaching in 1996 at the age of 14, and has taught some of Ontarios top young drummers aswell as the drum corp that finnished 2nd in drumming at the 2001 World Championships in grade 3. As a certified judge by the PPBSO, Graham continues to be in demand for judging and teaching all across North America.
