First inaugurated in 1982, the school has grown out of Mr. Coyne's garage, to a world-renowned school. Today it operates under the direction of his son, Seumas Coyne, who has successfully implemented five unified schools nationwide. He has instructed such establishments as the New York Police Department Pipe Band, the Fire Department of New York Pipe Band, and the Chicago Police Pipe Band, and has expanded the school to the Los Angeles Area. As a band, we strive to earn and keep our reputation of having high morals and integrity. We hope to have our Pipe Band evolve over the course of time into an award winning, world-class organization that can be recognized for the effort and time invested. The involvement in our community is an important tool to us; its purpose is reaching the people to teach our cultural heritage so they can understand the history behind this style of music.
