Latvian Bagpipe and Drum Music Band

We are playing Ltvian, Estonian and Lithuanian bagpipe tunes and also our own melodies. We use Latvian and Estonian bagpipes and ethnographic drums.
Bagpipe and drum music group Auli was founded in 2003. A few of group members have already played in the first bagpipe group in Latvia – Dudinieki, which was formed in 1994. Regardless of the fact that there was scare evidence left of bagpipe and drum playing traditions, both instruments were mentioned in the folklore materials. The music pieces reflect creative approach of the group members. Auli`s repertoire contains dance and bagpipe melodies including tunes of other European peoples as well as drum pieces Members of the group are: Mikus Cavarts, Kaspars Barbals, Gatis Indrevics, Gatis Valters, Normunds Vaivads, Leanne Barbo, Kaspars Indrevics, Andris Buls, Maris J?kabsons, Edgars Karklis - auli[a]auli.lv
