Emerald Society of Central Florida's Mission: ~ To recognize the accomplishments of Irish-Americans in Public Safety. ~ To preserve/promote the Irish culture and promote the contributions of our Irish and Irish American Ancestors. ~ To promote appreciation of Gaelic traditions in Public Safety. ~ To promote a Celtic, family oriented, social and cultural atmosphere within the Law Enforcement / Fire community. ~ To encourage a spirit of brotherhood and fellowship amongst its members. ~ To encourage members to better themselves in Law Enforcement / Fire training. ~ To assist worthy or needy active sworn members and/or their families during hardship as defined by the Executive Board. ~ To assist other Emerald Societies as the Executive Board sees fit. ~ In addition to the above to engage in any lawful activity for the purposes of promoting the Societies goals as defined by the Executive Board. ~ To devote the net earnings of the Society exclusively to Religious, Charitable, Scientific, Literary, Educational and Fraternal purposes.
