The main mission of the Pipes and Drums is to provide support to the regiment and the Canadian Armed Forces by supplying music for parades, remembrance services, special functions, mess dinners and other varied tasks. The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa Pipes and Drums mission statement states that they actively compete at PPBSO sanctioned contests. As well as the above, the reserve members of the band must satisfy musical trade tests set by the Canadian Forces School of Piping.
