The Thunder Mountain Pipe Band was formed in 1995 in beautiful Grand Junction, Colorado. Our mission is to promote the Celtic heritage and bagpiping traditions in Western Colorado for youth and adults alike. We have been fortunate enough to open for the Celtic rock group The Young Dubliners and performed with the Crested Butte Symphony Orchestra in a concert with the international Celtic group Cherish the Ladies. Sponsors of the band include The Colorado Council on the Arts, the Grand Junction Celtic Festival, the Grand Junction Lion's Club, Enstrom Candies, Gordon Engineering, and the Adam's Mark Hotel.
