The Nittany Highland Pipe Band of State College, Pennsylvania (USA) was founded in 1973 and has been lead successively by Pipe Majors Peter Usher (’73 - ’79), Alistair B. Fraser (’79 - ’99), Charles Tricou (’99 - ’01), David Werkheiser (’01 - '02 ), and Teresa Wallace ('02 - '03), and Molly Buchanan ('03 - present). The band performs in parades, festivals, and social events throughout Central Pennsylvania. The band draws members from among the students and staff at Penn State University, plus the local and nearby communities. The band is a member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band association.
