The James J. Coyne Memorial School of Piping and Drumming endeavors to offer the highest quality of instruction in traditional piping and drumming and strives to graduate highly proficient players.
Normally, students enter at the beginner's level and proceed on up. However, students with past instruction or playing experience may enter at the level they feel adequate and challenge an exam at a level deemed acceptable by the Director of the School. Any candidate failing an attempted level must then accept the recommendation of the examiners to attempt a level deemed by them to be appropriate.
