Detail:

The Owner Tom McIntosh started his piping career at an early age with Comrie Colliery Pipe Band in Oakley, Fife, Scotland and later played in grades one and two in Kelty and Blairadam Pipe Band under Pipe-Major James Buist. Tom played with the band at all the major championships in the U.K. as well as the Inter - Continental gathering in Toronto in 1972 (Grade one contest) and in 1974 emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia. Tom played for a number of years with the Vancouver Police Pipe Band under Pipe-Major Andrew Perrie. Tom was bandsman of the year in 1977. In 1980 Tom was instrumental in forming the Royal Canadian Branch #21 Pipe Band in Langley, British Columbia and was Pipe-Major for three years. In 1994 Tom joined the Delta Police Pipe Band as Pipe-sergeant under Pipe-Major Bruce Topp. Tom has since retired from playing in pipe bands due to his business and other interests but he still finds time to be an instructor and judge at various events. Being the proud owner of an established company, keeping the valuable customers informed of what is new and available as well as suitable in the ever changing world of piping and drumming accoutrements, offering solutions and advice is Tom's greatest objective and proof of his success in the seventeen years of being in business that continues to grow. McIntosh Highland Supplies has grown to the point where it now offers Wholesale products to the Trade Only - Tom's trade mark is Caledonian. The wholesale venture is a fairly new arm of McIntosh Highland Supplies but already has had great success and currently ship products to the U.K. and throughout North America.
