Competition and Performance Bagpipe Band The City of Sarasota Pipe Band is under the direction of Pipe Major Kevin Wiegand and is a competition and performance bagpipe band. Our members live primarily in Sarasota, Florida although a few members do travel in from other areas in Florida. As of now, we have roughly 26 members in the organization and COSPB continues to grow.
The mission of The City of Sarasota Pipe Band is to be the premier pipe band in the south... and beyond! We will not cut corners or settle for anything less.
We are fortunate to have very talented musicians who have yet to reach their true potential. Undoubtedly, continued hard work and practice will yield the results and objectives we expect to obtain.
Don't let this intense focus allow you to believe that we are not having a great time at the same time. We are having tons of fun and that's one of the band's greatest attributes!
