Gordon Haggerty

My name is Pipe Major Gordon Haggerty and I have been playing the highland bagpipes for over twenty years, originally in juvenile and progressing to senior bands.  Since 1999 I have been playing semi-professionally as a solo piper, and together with a duo of highland dancers, I have been entertaining people all over Central Scotland, between Glasgow and Stirling.  I am also the resident piper for the Buchanan Arms Hotel in Drymen (Loch Lomond) and play there regularly for weddings, tourist parties, burns suppers, corporate events and VIPs. At present I am the Pipe Major for Balaklava Pipes & Drums, based in Stirling, Scotland, and in the summer of 2009 I travelled to Uralsk, Kazakhstan at the invitation of a technical training college to play at their graduation day for students.
