48th Highlanders Of Holland Pipes And Drums

The 48^th Highlanders of Holland Pipes and Drums was set up on 15th January 1991.
A number of local enthousiasts took the initiative to found a living monument. A memorial because they wanted to do something in return for those who liberated Apeldoorn and its surrounding area.

Many of them were killed here, they gave their lives for our freedom Every year Canadian veterans still come to Holland, to this area to remember and to honour those who died. Because we value our freedom we must never - and don't want to - forget, our motto:

"We do remember"

They may and will not be forgotten...
