Piper for hire for weddings, funerals and social functions Robbie Byrne is an ex-Scots Guards Highland Piper and folk musician who has played in various professional Pipe Bands and Folk Groups at Highland Games and Music Festivals in Britain and abroad. When he is not gigging, touring or recording (and performing at weddings and funerals) he spends his time teaching penny-whistle and pipes privately. He teaches penny-whistle at Adult Education Centres, and is part of an out-of-school activity programme for schools in the Furness and Cumbrian area. "An attempt," he says, "to keep our culture alive and kicking."
