Richmond Virginia Bagpipe and Drum Band The Virginia Scots Guards Pipes and Drums was founded in 2007. Located in Richmond, Virginia the Virginia Scots Guards is an active performance band with a community focus. The band performs in parades, concerts, highland games, festivals, weddings, funerals and other events throughout Virginia. The Virginia Scots Guards is a military style band modeled after the historic Scots Guards. The pipers wear the Black Watch tartan and the drummers wear the Black Stewart. The band is under the direction of Pipe Major Dave Hinton, Drum Major Roscoe Porter, Drum Major Chris "Shooter" Corcoran, and Field Marshall Gene Lastfogel.
