Tennessee Scots Pipe BandGrade 4 pipe band in Nashville TN
Music is at the heart of what The Tennessee Scots Pipe Band is all about. Our goal is to preserve, foster and promote quality highland bagpiping and drumming in the Mid-South. The Tennessee Scots Pipe Band has performed at many functions. Some of these include: The 50th Anniversary of the Chevy Corvette Parade in downtown Nashville, performances at The Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville including the Black Watch and Scots Guards concert, opening for Country's Music's Fan Fair at the Nashville Coliseum and performing at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. In addition to performances we are also a competition band. The Tennessee Scots compete at the Grade 4 level. Over the years, the band has competed in contests held across the mid-south and has won prizes at all of them. The band is under the direction of Pipe Major Jim Drury and Drum Sgt. Willie Cantu. Both Jim and Willie have decades of experience in both pipe bands and solo performance. The Tennessee Scots Pipe Band is always looking for new members. Be you an experienced player or new to music, you are welcome. We do provide lessons for new students and advanced instruction for those who already play. Band practice is held on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Green Hills.
