Royal Scots O'Mocha Pipes and Drums / Link

Mocha Shriners Pipe Band helping to help children throughout North America.

In 1970 the then Potentate of the Mocha Shrine, Noble Art Martin from St. Thomas, directed that an effort be made to create a Pipe Band for Mocha Temple. Noble Ken Hodgkins was to take charge of the project. Noble Stew Thurtell was asked to be the unites first Director, this was the formation of the Royal Scots O'Mocha. Members were recruited from Masons across south western Ontario, all agreeing to become Shriners as soon as possible. The choice of kilt was the MacMillan tartan as it consisted of the Shrine colors of yellow, red, and green. -
