The shining thistle is a grade 4 band based in helena, montana, usa. the president is rick duncan & tenor drummer; pipe major beth foster; pipe sgt. david nimick; drum major & quartermaster john kilpatrick; drum sgt., bass drummer & treasurer mark cadwallader; drum corporal & snare drummer tim pool. other members; pipers; paul kienlin, gregg heath, josh kilpratrick, charles robison, and bob clemons. drummers; ken taylor snare drummer and drumming student jill foster. look for information on the first special service force tattoo on august 18, 2006 at fort harrison, helena, mt.
