The Windsor Police Pipe Band formed in 1967 has grown to become one of the largest pipe band organizations in the world. Over the years the band has expanded into a 150 person strong organization, divided into a Grade 2, 3, 4 and 5 band as well as students learning how to play the pipes and drums. The band wears the Red Gordon tartan in honour of then Chief Gordon Preston.
