Kearny Caledonian Pipe BandPipe Band from Kearny NJ. Established in 1966, by Jock Nisbet owner of the Pipers Cove of Kearny.
The Kearny Caledonian Pipe Band is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year. Founded as a competitive band by the same four men who built the very successful Fairleigh Dickinson University Pipe Band. The Kearny Caledonian grew to an award winning organization with a roster of over 40 members. The band grew quickly in both number and reputation, as was demonstrated by its having been chosen to open and close the New Yorks World's Fair. On the competition scene, the band eventually rose to Grade 2 competitive level and defeated the highest-rated bands in Canada and the U.S. even at the Canadian National Exhibition. The band continues to thrive and has performed at many events including the Macy's Parade.
