The Police Pipes and Drum Corps of Florida was formed in 1990 in Dade County, Florida, by seven officers from law enforcement agencies located in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The band currently has 58 members, representing Police, Fire, federal and state agencies in Broward, Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach counties. Also past members of the military services and carefully selected civilians complement this corp’s proud performing roster. We have Associate Members from Broward, Palm Beach, and Hendry counties, Jacksonville, and Orlando, Florida, as well as a special associate teaching member in Houston, Texas. Our stated mission is to honor the fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters, at funerals, memorials, through the ancient art of bagpiping and drumming. The band performs at parades, weddings, memorials, funerals, graduations, parties, dedications, and other events requiring bagpipes.
