Who does not like to hear it, the sound of the Scottish bagpipes (English: Bagpipe). He manages also to bring joy, love and passion but longing and mourning for the listener to experience.
Many countries have tried to make known the bagpipes in the local population. Only in Scotland he has survived so long and today is an instrument which one associates while listening with Scotland.
Also in Heistern, a smaller and finer place in the highlands of the community Langerwehe, above the famous monastery church Wenau to minstrels have teamed up to get the traditions of Scottish bagpipe music upright. -
