There's two major problems I see here. The first one is the phrase "inexpensive bagpipes." Sorry, but that's just asking for trouble, because they're either Pakistani (I know you said you knew for a fact, but there are liers out there who sell crap), or they weren't taken care of and they're cracked, or something along those lines.

Don't Know what that last poster was on about. I'm one of them Irish Bostonians! I've nothing to do with "inexpensive bagpipes" or anything made in Pakistan. I'm just a Scotts trained bagpiper and reed maker that makes his reeds in Florida, in the good old U.S.A. I studied the pipes in Edinburgh, Scotland from Pipe Major George Stoddart B.E.M. for three years. This was after serving three years in the U.S. military, one of which was in Viet Nam at Bear Cat and then at Dong Tam on the Mekong River in the 9th Infantry Division. These reeds are tested before shipping and I follow up afterwards to make sure the customer is satisfied and to see if any pointers are needed. Find better customer service anywhere!
