I have successfully used the "fantastic" midi capable Deger Chanter with Apple Macintosh "free" (included with the OS) Garageband. Has anyone else using any other MIDI programs with the Deger Chanter ?

Hello!
What did you use to connect up the deger to the mac? I didn't think of using the Deger for this. Wow!!!!!

A review will be forthcoming on the newly updated Apple Macintosh iLife '06 program which features Garageband 3.0 and a fifth GarageBand Jam Pack, "World Music". GarageBand is the digital equivalent of a four-track tape recorder, which include all the instruments a budding musicians would need.

The World Music package contains 3,235 Apple loops and 42 software instruments. Some the software instruments that may attract a musician interested in Celtic music are:

Celtic Hammered Dulcimer
Celtic Harp
Celtic Tin Whistle
Highland Bagpipes
Irish Bouzouki
Irish Fiddle

As well as live recording, the application includes hundreds of riffs, beats, bleeps and breaks -- snippets of music known as loops -- that can be mixed and matched in endless combination.
