Last night (Saturday March 14) my McLeod bagpipes were stolen from outside the Clarion Hotel in Scranton PA. I received these pipes in 1997 from Highland bagpipe supply, Glasgow Scotland. The pipes are fully beaded and combed, nickle ferruls, with imitation ivory. Black courtroy bag cover red fringe made by Hastings. I have tied in a Gannaway bag with the zipper and eeze drone reeds inverted bass. Maccallum poly chanter (round holes)Ross reed. The red cords will be missing tassel from the bass drone as the scumbag thief must of did a grip it and rip it. There are minor chips on the caps of the bass and outside tenor. Please if anyone sees or hears of pipes like this contact me. These pipes were given to me by my grandmother who passed away in Sept 01 and are very special to me. Your first set usually is.

Thank you

Thanks Kevin, I was astounded when I learned of the theft, since the 1st post we have posted in on all the domestic as well as some of the international forums, we are aware a Police report was filed and Many "home town" freinds will be checking Local establishments who might trade such items for cash etc.. I do have a photo available but will hold off posting that anywhere for the time being The bagcover is kind of unique looking and the pipes themselves arent nessisarily typical... They were not in a case atte time so we have even begun making contact with sellers of Pipe cases around which may seem extreme or even silly, But one never knows.. our thought have been to get the theft out there so that honest folks can feel safe and the element gets they're just rewards too.. To the best of my knowledge Scranton and NW pa isnta huge mecca for Pipers although going not too far in just about any direction will bring you towards them :) Hopefully, it will all work out well, and the pipes will be returned in good condition.... This is certainly nOt the first set of pipes stolen and isnt antique or special set , though it does have sentimental value to its owner..

Makes me think Its time to engrave My Drone stocks.... Thanks again Kevin
