I'm a lapsed GH piper who is interested in playing pipes again, but at a more subtle level -- with Scottish smallpipes. My quandary is should i purchase (a) a bellows blown set or (b) a mouth blown set (and use plastic reeds)? How difficult is it to learn the coordination of playing with bellows? (I'm 60 and am not willing to put a lot of time into it since i'm also learning to play guitar.) Any GH pipers out there willing to share their experience with either type? Thanks for any comments.

Go for mouth blown IMO. get a full setup from a good maker .
