Can anyone recomend a CD that I could listen to?
I found a band named Tartanic out of Houston Texas. They sound pretty cool. www.tartanic.com
I have not bought their cd yet, but thinking about it.
I would like to hear some traditional stuff. I found some CD in stores, but they are not that good.

Are you looking for traditional pipeband music ? or bands that feature pipers ? or celtic music in general ?

Any with bagpipes in it.
I like traditional bagpipe music, but I also like stuff with an up beat to it.

There are so many choices to select from. If you do not own any piping cd's at all, I would recommend purchasing at least one World Pipeband Championships recordings. This will provide the best of the best of traditional pipeband music. Apple iTunes also has several selections of piping music to purchase. Apple's choices are limited but are constantly growing.
I would then start to explore the individual PipeBand and Solo artists cd's for a range of traditional and creative compositions that you may not find on the World Championships CD's.

I will do a search for "World Pipeband Championships recordings" and see what I come up with.

it still holds true today, some of the worlds recordings are a bit over the top for soome people, For basic traditional fare, you can never go wrong with music from the regiments, scots , canadian, as well... and not to take away from any of your advertisers, Most Boarders, and siliar venue sellers have a "fairly good" international music collection worth taking a look at occasionally, one can often pick up a CD of Pipe music considerablely less then the norm for CD's of other tunes... just a thought maynt people overlook

if you like something bit different than 'traditional' piping music, try victoria police pipe band's 'master blaster'. that cd is.. BLAST! i need to buy me another copy. my only copy was loan to my friend and he never returned it.. and i don't have his address any more.
as for the world's greatest pipers series, i prefer p/m angus macdonald, and p/m alastair gillies. met p/m gillies in one of the clinic number of years ago. he's an amazing piper.
