i have two sets of GHB. 1986 Hardie, and 1998-99 Naill DN4. the set of hardie i have were very popular back in 80's as band set around here, but it has very quiet drones. i used to use it for band and solo competition. had lot of good comment from the judges on solo competition on that set, not my piping. the naill set has very deep, and loud drone. i rather like naill drones.

I have the same set of 1998-98 DN4 Naill Pipes, with the Silver End Caps. They are also my second set of bagpipes. They are fantastic pipes and I have had a deal of great comments on the sound of the drones and the chanter.

Hello all - I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to pipes. I've always wanted to play, and got a Pakistani set years ago from our local music store. We unfortunately found out shortly after that the Pakistani pipes have a bad rep for shoddy material. I'd love to get another set and try again, since it's long been a dream of mine, but need a little guidance on where to start. Anyone have any suggestions for a beginner and a good starter set to start with? Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
