I've just got a request for 'Brennan on the Moor'. Any ideas?

I checked the 2004 Edition of the Encyclopedia of Bagpipe Tunes and nothing was listed. What this means is that this tune has not been published in any music book. You can probably find a pipeband that has composed a setting for the tune. I will keep checking my sheet music collection for such a tune.
I found this interesting note on the tune from here (http://www.libraryireland.com/IrishMusic/XXIII-2.php):
One of the most celebrated bagpipe tunes in 1770 was "Brennan on the Moor," a setting of a song written in praise of a noted Irish Tory or Rapparee, William Brennan. The melody, with its rousing refrain, is now almost forgotten, and the ballad has not been heard in recent years.

the ballad has not been heard in recent years.
Clearly, the author hasn't frequented any of our local Irish pubs.

No, never did, but the gig went well enough (a Mr. Brennan, hence the request) that he said he'd have me back next year.

Did anyone ever find the bagpipe sheet music for "Brennan on the Moor?"
