Description: Vintage set of Highland bagpipes, believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. The wooden box has a year of 1914 carved into it - if it is the original. I bought them a while ago from an antique shop and cleaned up a little - metal polished & timber lightly oiled. The joints have also been re-hemped. Cane reeds have been put in the drones and play well - there is no chanter. I am led to believe they are Hutcheon, but have not had them professionally inspected. There is a chip out of the bottom of one of the drones, but doesn't seem to affect sound & one of the ferrules is split but is easily welded. AUD $2,200 ono Will ship worldwide - buyer to pay p&p.

Description: R.G. Hardie bagpipes, bought in Glasgow in 1966, sterling silver (thistle pattern) and REAL ivory mounts.  These are in the original case that was supplied to me by R.G. Hardie, and also have the original bag, reeds, blue velvet cover, etc.  HOWEVER, the bag is no good, there is one very tight hairline crack in the blowpipe stock, and moreover, most modern pipers would want to replace the original leather-flap one-way valve on the blowpipe with an up-to-date patent valve.  So, although everything will go to the buyer, this offering is essentially "sticks and stocks" at present.  While appraised at one time at $5,500, I understand that most buyers would consider these to be in the "fair to good" condition at best.    I estimate the cost of shipping to most USA destinations at no more than $50.00 including insurance, but will require the buyer to pay the actual cost of shipping and insurance.

Also included is a McLeod of Forfar practice chanter with a white mouth piece. The case is hand made. Misc. items also include. In 1972 my husband was transferred to Edzel Scotland Navy base. I wanted to learn to play the bagpipes during my four year stay in Scotland. I met this wonderful Scottish military piper named Jimmy Petrie who taught a group of fifteen of us to play. I bought my pipes from him. Little did I know then that my bagpipes were McLeod of Forfar bagpipes. After researching Iain McLeod, I discovered that the bagpipes I have had for 37 years are the �Rolls Royce of the bagpipe world.�

Description: These MacClellans were made a little over two years ago. The wood is Cocobolo. The projecting mounts and tuning pins are sterling silver. The ferrules are of a sea dragon theme and are also made of sterling silver with a bronze background. There is both a plastic and a Cocobolo pipe chanter. I'll even throw in extra chanter reeds (not blown in) and a couple of sets of drone reeds including Omega and EZ Drones. These pipes are abslolutely gorgeous with an amazing sound. Description: One of 10 vintage Sinclair Chanters picked up by Ron Bowen @ The Worlds. (third from the left in picture). These are prized for their particularly strong hand and great harmonics. Ron Bowen has thinned the bottom hand OD slightly, sized the throats, and tweaked the C and B slightly. They play great at somewhere between 474 and 476 with no problem. A fantastic Band Chanter. Description: I have a set of Kilberry pipes. The pipes are made of African black wood, With Nickle ferrules, nickle-silver drone caps, and imitation ivory projecting mounts. I have been playing on them for several years and have taken very good care of them. They have a great sound and have served me well. I'm just wanting a new set. They have a couple of chips on the imitation ivory but other than that there is no damage. I had them refinished when I first received then as the original finish had bubbled. The pipes will include, drones, blow pipe, bag, chords, bag cover, and chanter. I have both a Warnock plastic chanter and a Gibson wooden chanter you have your choice of either one.
